Yemanya's Call by Womantide
August 2009
In 2006 Legendary Cape Town singer, musician & songwriter Tina Schouw, Moodphase5ive diva Ernestine “Ernie” Deane and well-known writer & performance poet Malika Ndlovu pooled their talents and original material to create an unforgettable production called Womantide. Since then Womantide has wowed audiences on platforms ranging from arts festivals to live music events, private functions to international conferences.
Their long-awaited CD, aptly titled Yemanya's Call - after the African & Brazilian mother - goddess of the oceans - was launched at their Artscape Women's Arts Week performances on 7th August and 8th August 2009.
